BETTER READING HABITS 2021; feb 2021 TBR

I have a problem: I like to buy books. I like to receive books as gifts. And I like to find books for free second hand and mostly I love receiving advance read copies of books before they are published. But, I rarely have enough time to read them all before adding more books.

In 2020, I obtained a whole lot of books. Every time I picked up, bought, or was given a book, I dump the one I was already reading for the new one and then read the first couple chapters and *oo shiny* then a newer book comes along to distract me from that too. It was a crazy cycle that has been going on for awhile now. My “to read” stack seems to grow every month, and even as much as I try to read every book I pick up, this hasn’t been easy to get to half of it before adding more to it.  The problem I have is that I never finish books I already have before adding more to it.

10 Bitch Approved Books You Must Read in August | Bitch Media

I have decided to put up a list of some of my fav books that i picked up 2020 that I am yet to read and the once that made the first final cut on this list are 24 books that I actually own (some I have started, Others I’m yet to start). I have decided that in order to solve this issue, I will not obtain any books in Feb until I have finished at least half of the books on this list that I already own. This is in hopes that I can actually do this every month and maybe be able to read all the books i got 2020 before June 2021.

My goal is to read more books this year than I did last year. I hope this plan will make me follow through.

Having read the first few bits of some of these books, and some amazing reviews and synopsis, I can definitely recommend them and hope y’all pick up a few and read along with me. I know a lot of people who literally cringe at the thought of leaving a book unread or a movie half-watched(That used to be me), but I haven’t been one of those people in awhile.

That being said, all of these books will be linked in this post (just click the images) for you to take a lookand read reviews on them.

Why these books?

To give you some background on my books of choice, know that I read and enjoy a lot of novels. But often times, I tend to pick up some novels I just can’t get in to, and would absolutely never recommend but still, there are some I pick up and I can’t put down. And quite frankly, there is nothing like a book that is life-consuming.

My favourite books are ones that I can pick up and can’t put down (probably till the very end). I love Historicals, Fantasy and memoirs, but never enough Romance as most people probably does.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I couldn’t read a romance novel. I’ve read a few over the years But right now, if the plot of a book is primarily Romance, I find it difficult to pick up. I like to cozy up and read historical fictions, Classics, fantasy and biographies and maybe a self-help book( once in awhile )and travel guides. I am alone here?

HERE ARE THE LIST OF BOOKS I AM STARTING MY YEAR WITH.
