Mini Review: Bloody Genuis (Virgil Flowers series Book 12

What are you currently reading?? And How are you liking it??🤔😍

Hi Bookstafam❤️ Happy Monday! I’m so sad the weekend is over😭😭 I was so carried away yesterday I could not even manage one post🙈😁 But I’m back today like I never left😁

I’m currently reading Bloody Genuis( A Virgil Flowers Novel Book 12)😁 Who starts a series from book 12?? This girl right here🙈 So I was browsing Amazon Kindle store 🏬 Yesterday And I came across the book and the synopsis had me hooked but instead of going back to book 1, (like most people would have) I decided to start with book 12.😁 The series is too long for me to start now from the Very beginning! .

Here is a little Synopsis if you are interested:

Virgil Flowers will have to watch his back and his mouth as he investigates a college culture war turned deadly.

At the local University, two feuding departments have faced off on the battleground of science and medicine. Each carries their views to extremes that may seem absurd, but highly educated people of sound mind and good intentions can reasonably disagree right?? .

So it may seemed till a renowned and confrontational scholar winds up dead, and Virgil Flowers is brought in to investigate… And as he probes the recent ideological unrest, he soon comes to realize he’s dealing with people who, on this particular issue, are functionally crazy. Among this group of widely impassioned, diametrically opposed zealots lurks a KILLER, and it will be up to Virgil to sort the murderer from the mere maniacs!.

Who doesn’t love to begin a new week with MURDER??😁 A good Murder takes away the stress of a new week! So far I’m loving it but don’t know how you feel about starting a series off with book 12 but if you don’t mind, you should definitely check this out.

  1. This sounds really interesting! I’m currently reading Marrow Charm by Kristin Jacques, The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater (almost finished with this), and A Time Traveler’s Theory of Relativity by Nicole Valentine.

      1. I’m still reading A Time Traveler’s – it’s good just hard to hold my attention. Marrow Charm is one of my favorite reads of the year. It was extremely atmospheric and the slow burn romance was chefs kiss!

  2. I read 12 and almost zoned out, but if you can start at 12, then you make it OK for the rest of us. I know those really smart people at universities are crazy driven-love the premise that ones tipped over the edge to villain.
